Talking to her

You can type to her, talk with your voice, or both. She answers out loud with lip sync, little gestures and expressions, and her words also show in speech bubbles and in the chat.

Typing

Type in the chat box at the bottom and press Enter. Pressing Enter anywhere in her window jumps to the chat box.

• ⇆ moves the chat to the center or the right side.
• – minimizes it; 💬 brings it back.
• On your desktop, right-click her → 💬 Talk to open a chat box next to her (or press Enter while her window is active). Esc closes it.

Talking with your voice

Choose how in ⚙️ Settings → Talking → Talk with your voice:

Mode	How it works
Off (type to talk)	Only typing.
Push-to-talk	Hold Space in her window while you speak, and let go when you're done. Or press Ctrl+Alt+Space anywhere, even while you're in another app: she listens until you stop talking (press it again to stop early).
Always listen for her name	Say her name ("Hana, how was your day?") and she answers. Right after she spoke to you, you can reply without saying her name again. The 🎤 button next to the chat turns this on and off.

While she listens, a small label shows what's happening: Speak now… (or Listening for “Hana”…), then your words as she hears them, then Got it, thinking…

Private by design

Listening for her name runs on your PC (a one-time download of about 80 MB). What's said in your room never leaves your computer; only what you say to her after her name is turned into text. With push-to-talk, only what you say while holding the key is used.

Nicknames: in Advanced mode, Extra wake words lets her answer to other names too (for example "Hanna" or "hey cutie").

Speech recognition (Advanced): Automatic, On this PC (Whisper, private), Free cloud (faster and more accurate), or My own key (Groq or OpenAI Whisper).

Her voice

In ⚙️ Settings → Voice:

• Natural voice (free, runs on this PC): a soft, natural English voice that works offline. Pick from several voices (for example Heart, Bella, Nicole or Sky) and set the speed. The first time, it downloads about 90 MB.
• System voice: Windows' built-in voices, including other languages. Pitch and speed are adjustable.
• ElevenLabs (Advanced): very expressive voices with your own ElevenLabs key. See Free AI setup.
• Off: speech bubbles only.

Each character can have her own voice.

Other languages

She answers in your language: write to her in German, Spanish, Japanese or anything else, and her replies come back in that language. Set Your language in Settings → Talking (for example de-DE) so voice recognition understands you.

Her natural voice only speaks English, though. For spoken replies in another language, choose a System voice in your language, or ElevenLabs.

How she remembers you

With an AI connected, she writes down what matters every few messages: facts about you, a short note for each day you talked, and the last few days stay in mind ("yesterday you told me…"). Older moments come back when you mention them again. You can read and edit all of it in ⚙️ Settings → Memory. See Her day.

Without an AI

She still lives her day, reacts to head pats and pokes, does what you ask on her island, makes small talk and greets you when you come back, all with built-in lines. For real conversations she needs a free AI account.
