Her day and her island
Hana isn't waiting in a menu for you. She has a home, a routine and little hobbies, and her day goes on while you're away.
Her island
A small Japanese-style cottage with an engawa veranda and a paper lamp, a flower garden, a big sakura tree with a swing, a koi pond with five koi (the orange one is greedy), an easel where she slowly paints pictures for you (her paintings), a campfire, a stargazing blanket and a piano by the sea.

Her day follows your clock
Her island runs on your real local time: sunrise, sunset and her routine all follow your clock. Every day is a little different, but it usually goes like this:
| Time | What she does |
|---|---|
| Around 7:00 (a bit later on weekends) | Wakes up, stretches, has breakfast |
| Morning | Waters the garden, then paints, reads or feeds the koi |
| Around noon | Cooks and has lunch, then tea or a nap under the tree |
| Afternoon | Painting, reading, the koi, a walk around the island, the ukulele on her swing, or writing a song on the veranda; then sweeping or gardening |
| Evening | Cooks dinner, then the campfire, tea, the piano (some evenings she writes a song there), the guitar or a book by the lamp |
| Late evening | Stargazing on her blanket, reading, or the kalimba on the veranda |
| 22:30 | Brushes her hair next to her bed |
| 23:00 | Sleeps |
Visit her at 3 AM and she's asleep on her futon. Talk to her and she wakes up, sleepy but happy to see you.

Seasons
The seasons follow your calendar: sakura petals drift in spring, the leaves turn orange in autumn, and in winter snow falls and the koi move slowly in the cold water. At night (except in winter), fireflies dance over the pond. Her evenings change with the seasons too: in winter she reads by the lamp more often than she sits out by the fire.

Feeding the koi
She takes her little pouch to the dock, tosses food with a flick and leans in to watch the koi rush over and gulp it at the surface (the greedy orange one first). Hands to her cheeks, soft claps, pointing, humming; now and then a koi splashes her and she squeaks, then laughs. On breaks she sits at the end of the dock and swings her feet in the water while the koi nibble her toes.
She knows where she is
She knows what's around her and what she can see right now: the koi, the season's flowers and leaves, the sunset, the stars. She talks about it, and when you lead her by the hand she comments on the places you pass.
Her memory
With an AI connected, she keeps:
- Facts about you: your name, what you like, what you told her.
- A note for every day you talked, written in her words. The last few days stay in mind ("yesterday you told me…").
- Older moments, which come back when you mention them again.
Everything she remembers is stored on your PC. In ⚙️ Settings → Memory you can read it, add things she should know, remove things with ✕, and edit her notes about each day.
Each character keeps her own memories. See Her look.
Time travel and the camera
- −30m / +30m on her name card shift her time, to peek at the sunset early or see what she does later. Advanced mode has a slider for up to ±12 hours (Settings → World → Time travel).
- 🎥 Follow her (in ☰ More) keeps the camera on her as she walks around.
- Graphics (Advanced, Settings → World): Automatic, High (shadows) or Low (battery saver).
Somewhere new
She can move to a different place, or follow a routine you write. See Maps, routines and the Workshop.
